hey kids, i needs your help. i've got a rather important job application to fill in and i really don't know whether my "statement" or whatever bit is any good. could you please read it and tell me if its any good and suggest any changes at all? (i'm looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] msdaccxx & [livejournal.com profile] tartpants here, cos i knows you know at least something about these things, right?)

Short Job Description
Long Job Description (with five pages about the college that are not that important)

I'm familiar with the Project as I have worked with people involved on various occasions. I'm also familiar with the University College for the Creative Arts and how it works having done my Photography Degree at the Rochester campus.

My current position at D & A Toys includes several Administrative duties such as filing and maintaining records of orders, data input etc as well as communicating with both clients and suppliers and couriers to clear any existing problems.

I am also part of Photomeat, a collective of young photographers that organised an exhibition in London in late 2007. We had to source out funding, venues, refreshments for the private view and get invites printed on budget, amongst other things. I have also done an internship at Proud Galleries in London during August 2005 and worked the summer of 2003 as a Gallery Assistant at Galleri Zebra in Karis, Finland. At both positions I was heavily involved with organizing events and preparing for them.

I have excellent IT skills that range from Word and emails to desktop publishing and Photoshop. I am a keen and fast learner and work well both as a team and my own initiative. I'm flexible and have an excellent eye for detail.

I think I would be an excellent candidate for this position for many of the reasons mentioned above, and I am very passionate about my work whatever it is. I would like an opportunity to show what I can do and help new and emerging Creative Businesses, and not only because I know many of the people the Project has helped get started so far.

basicly the Project is the thing that was funding carl's studio, except isn't not. it's the same hours as now but with a) better pay and b) perhaps even some job satisfaction (positive feedback on eBay just isn't cutting it anymore)

i need your help ASAP cos the application needs to be returned by FRIDAY. and i rather send it out tomorrow after work than shit myself thursday morning. thank you in advance!

and in other news, i'm being all stupid especially today because i'm stressing about that stupid application and thus been really fucking annoying at carl. and now i'm in the library with the laptop on my own with his hairdye i bought on my way here. and i should probs go back home asap because i've been here for almost two hours. oops.

I only saw this now! Sorry!

I've tidied it up a wee bit. Try running it by Phil if you get the chance - he's a proofreading demon
